Item functionality depends on Item Type. Item Type determines which visual control is attached to Item and which parameters are accessible via API functions.

Button	Item with Push Button Control.
Control	Item without defined visual control. This Item cannot be created by API yet.
Checkbox	Item with Checkbox Control.
FileInfo	Special Item with Panel Control and parameters for display informations about any Filename in File Info Panel. This Item cannot be created by API.
Groups	Item with Groups Control. This Item cannot be created by API.
Group	Item with Tab Group Control. Tab Groups are displayed on TOP of SE Main Window.
Label	Item with Label Control.
ListView	Item with ListView Control.
Menu	Item with Menu Control. This Item cannot be created by API yet.
MenuItem	Item with Menu Item Control.
Panel	Item with Panel Control.
Popup	Item with Popup Control. This Item cannot be created by API yet.
RadioButton	Item with RadioButton Control.
Splitter	Item with Splitter Control.
Tabs	Item with Tabs Control. This Item cannot be created by API.
Tab	Item with Tab Control.Tabs are displayed under Tab Groups in SE Main Window.
TreeView	Item with TreeView Control.
Window	Item with Window Control. This Item cannot be created by API yet.

More types will be added during SE development. If you missing any control type, feel free to let us know.

Items can be created automatically from Plugin Configuration File or by CreateItem API function.
